Privacy Policy
OrthoFlow is an app for orthodontists to keep patient records on their own device. This policy explains how the app handles data.
1. Your data stays on your device
OrthoFlow does not ask you to create an account and does not connect to a server. Patient details, photos, radiographs, documents, visit and treatment records are stored only on this device, in storage reserved for the app.
This data is never sent to the developer or to any third party. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
2. You are the data controller
For the patient data you enter, you or your clinic are the data controller. Informing your patients and obtaining any required consent under applicable law (e.g. GDPR) is your responsibility.
3. Sharing
When you share a PDF, GIF or backup file, it is handed to the app you choose in your device’s share menu. From then on, that app’s terms apply to the file.
You can turn on anonymous mode in Settings to hide patient names for presentations and teaching.
4. Backups
Backup files are encrypted with AES-GCM using a password you choose. The password is never sent to the developer or stored; if you forget it, the backup cannot be opened.
5. Permissions
Camera: to take clinical photos.
Photo library: to import photos, radiographs and your clinic logo.
Face ID / biometrics: to unlock the app, if you choose to. Biometric data stays in your device’s operating system and never reaches the app.
6. Security and deletion
To protect your records, we recommend using a screen lock on your device and turning on the app lock in Settings.
You can delete all records with the data deletion option in Settings or by removing the app from your device. If the device is lost or the app is deleted, records that were not backed up cannot be recovered.
7. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the app will show you the new text the next time you open it.
