What I enjoy most in orthodontics is reaching a good result with your own natural teeth. Working out in advance where each tooth will move, and with what force, is my favourite part of the work.
A correct bite and comfortable chewing matter as much as a beautiful smile, so I always think about aesthetics and function together. I start planning from the face rather than the teeth, looking at the smile together with the lips, the facial profile and the proportions of the face.
I enjoy working with digital tools. Treatment is planned on screen first, and we go through it together before we begin. I also follow new developments in orthodontics closely.
My specialty thesis was on in-house clear aligner production and treatment, and I took part in a TÜBİTAK research project in the same field.
